About the House of Seven Generations

The House of Seven Generations is hosted on the Tribe’s CONTENTdm Server. Digital items can be added from anywhere using the CONTENTdm Project Client. Your digital collections can be searched via the Web using standard Web browsers by any number of end users, unless you choose to restrict access. With its ability to handle any file type, CONTENTdm can serve as an institutional repository to bring collections together into a cohesive and accessible Web-based environment.

OCLC is a nonprofit, membership, computer library service and research organization dedicated to the public purposes of furthering access to the world’s information and reducing information costs. More than 72,000 libraries in 170 countries and territories around the world have used OCLC services to locate, acquire, catalog, lend and preserve library materials.

Photo, Document and Artifact collections reside within the database and are either held by the Tribe for preservation purposes or displayed on the website, according to the owner’s preference. Please read our reproduction policy that defines copyright, fair use, personal use, and commercial use of our items on this website. Your acceptance of these items in any medium, including online, constitutes the acknowledgement, understanding, and acceptance of the terms and conditions of use outlined in our Copyright and Use Statement. The House of Seven Generations was funded by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (www.imls.gov), with additional support from the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe.
